Pierre Ragues is preparing for a bumper race weekend as he contests the 4 Hours of Silverstone in both European Le Mans Series (ELMS) and FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) categories.

In ELMS, Pierre will join forces with the Duqueine Engineering team as the season enters its second half with Silverstone, Spa and Portimao remaining on the 2019 calendar.

Alongside team-mates Nicolas Jamin and Richard Bradley, Pierre enjoyed a competitive weekend at the previous round in Barcelona. They will be looking for another strong performance, but with a bit more fortune, to improve on their current fourth place in the team’s classification with just a small gap to second position.

The trio will take to the classic 5.891km British track in the #30 Oreca 07 and Michelin tyres, which has proven to be a potent force in ELMS so far this year. A total of 39 cars will compete in the four-hour race across all classes, including 18 in the closely fought LMP2 field. It promises to be another tightly contested round as the series enters the decisive second phase of the season.

Pierre commented: “It’s going to be a busy weekend for me, but I am fully committed to delivering a top result for Duqueine Engineering in the ELMS 4 Hours of Silverstone. Together with Nicolas and Richard, we have shown strong pace in each of the three rounds to date, but for various reasons we haven’t really been able to get representative results. However, we know we are capable of pushing for the front-running positions when things fall in our favour, so we have to just focus on the job in hand and getting the best out of ourselves and the competitive Oreca 07 and Michelin tyres. Silverstone is a track I enjoy and know very well from previous seasons. I hope we will get into the rhythm quickly as we aim to close the gap in the championship.”

Pierre Ragues is supported in ELMS by his personal partners Yacco, Ellip6 and Sparco.
