HOME HERO TANAK TAKES SPARCO TO VICTORY IN RALLY ESTONIA News Photo
The seventh round of this season’s competitive FIA European Rally Championship (ERC) came to a conclusion on Saturday with home star Ott Tanak securing a popular victory in front of 30,000 spectators.

Tanak, driving his M-M Motorsport Ford Fiesta R5, once again wore Sparco’s high performing Superleggera overalls for Rally Estonia, as he dominated the event. The Estonian was quickest on 10 of the 14 gravel stages as well as on the Tartu City street stage, becoming the sixth different ERC winner in seven rounds.

Sparco continues to have a significant presence in motorsport series around the world and this latest victory for a driver wearing its cutting edge, industry leading racewear represents another important result. The importance of the Rally Estonia event was perhaps best demonstrated by the attendance of Estonian Prime Minister Taavi Roivas on Friday, who described it as ‘a very enjoyable experience’.

Sparco CEO Claudio Pastoris commented: “It is a bumper motorsport weekend for Sparco with presence in series all over the world. To get things underway with a win in Estonia with the home star Ott Tanak was very special and we send our congratulations to him for a great performance. The event organisers, too, have done a great job to attract such a big crowd and the presence of the country’s Prime Minister. For Sparco, it has been another brilliant result with our Superleggera overalls thanks to Ott and his co-driver Raigo Mölder.”
