Sparco has been part of a very special presentation at Circuit de la Sarthe in Le Mans today, after race driver Lucas Ordonez announced the winner of a unique website competition.

The Nissan Motorsport driver ran a competition on his personal website for his fans to design the gloves and shoes he is to use in this weekend’s Le Mans 24 Hours.

Sparco, who supply Ordonez and the Nissan Zeod crew, have worked closely with the Spanish driver to prepare the final products, complete with the winning design. Sparco management were also present to show off the end results which Ordonez will race on Saturday and Sunday.

Once the race is over, the shoes and gloves will be handed over to the winning entrant as part of the very unique prize.

Daniela Vignale, Sparco’s Motorsport Manager, said: “We were pleased to help Lucas with his special competition and to prepare a unique pair of shoes and gloves for the occasion. The final design looks fantastic and I am sure they will be received with pride by the competition winner after the race. Let’s hope they bring Lucas a bit of luck because they certainly look fantastic.”
